The East coast of the USA contains a mixture of history, culture and natural beauty.
Victor and Barbara will hit the coast at Savannah, Georgia, which is part the of Old South. Then we shall drive north through the Carolinas, Myrtle Beach: the Grand Strand, and Charleston, hoping to see stately Homes and experience gracious hospitality. In North Carolina we shall pass through Wilmington and the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. In Virginia we expect to see Norfolk and old colonial Williamsburg and the ancient port of Jamestown. We'll then head east to the Blue Ridge Parkway at Amhurst, and the Skyline Drive. via Waynsboro, to Washington DC. Needless to say, we must see the Nation's Capital, especially the White House, and Lincoln Memorial. Then in Pennsylvania we shall visit Philadelphia, 'the Cradle of Liberty', where the Declaration of Independence was pronounced. In New York there is Broadway, the Empire State Building, and the Statue of Liberty.
