Slovenia
We only spent 3 days and 2 nights in Slovenia, as we were passing from Austria to Croatia, seeking dry weather and sunshine. From Villach we reached Kranjska Gora and found a small apartment for 2 nights. It was cold and rained all the time, so we were not able to see very much! But we rested after a lot of heavy driving the day before. From Kranjska Gora we drove to Bled, where the rain stopped just long enough for us to see the pretty lake, with a monastery on an island in the middle. Then we headed for the coast at Koper, still in Slovenia. This was a busy industrial port city, so we escaped from it with difficulty, and crossed the border into Croatia, heading for Umag.
